Feelings are complicated, involved, and can be challenging to face. Sometimes, it is even easier to pretend they don’t exist. While that may make you feel better temporarily, it will cause long-term damage. Working through emotions and triggers will help you reconnect with yourself and become a stronger, more confident person. The best part — you do not have to work through these emotions alone.

More about me…
I graduated from Texas State University with a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in direct practice with individuals, families, and groups. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) under supervision, working towards completing my clinical hours to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Throughout the years of experience, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, self-harm, and suicidal behavior. I work full-time as a Responsive Services Counselor with Garland ISD, where I work with students whose personal circumstances and mental health interfere with academic performance and personal and social development. You can usually find me with my better half and my stepson in my spare time! I enjoy going to his baseball games and cheering him on! I also enjoy spending time at local coffee shops and bookstores. I am listening to a great podcast — The Dr. John Delony Show. I highly recommend it!
