My friends lovingly refer to me as “sun baby.” Being outside, soaking up the sun, and admiring nature are my favorite things to do in my free time. I value self-care and time spent with loved ones. I take seriously the things I choose to do outside of work. Traveling, hiking, or spending time with my husband and two fur-babies are things that fill my cup!
And, I love being a counselor! My treatment approach will include evidence-based strategies (like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing) that allow for exploration of new perspectives. Mindfulness techniques and interventions are worked into sessions to encourage well-balanced living. Focus areas include anxiety, depression, couples, self-image, eating disorders, tobacco cessation, and life transitions.
