Apply the Nike Slogan to Your Life: Most of
us are familiar with the popular Nike slogan "JUST DO IT" but we
probably don't stop to think about the importance of the message.
If you are like me, you probably see the Nike swoosh
everyday. It's everywhere! Most of us own a piece of clothing or Nike
accessory that is associated with this phrase. "JUST
DO IT" has become a popular phrase in our society. However, most of you
might still find yourself waiting for the perfect time to "JUST DO IT." You can't
start your diet today, because of a party tomorrow. You can't start a
hobby, until you're retired. You can't quit your job, until you find a
new one. You can't work on your marriage until your kids are grown up.
Sound familiar? Did you
know that the least understood cause for failure is indecision? Lack of
decision is at the head of the list in forecasting failure. Many people
go through life accomplishing little because they wait for the time to
be "right" to start doing something worthwhile. What they don't realize
is that the time is NEVER going to be "right." Start where you stand today, and work
with whatever resources you have at your command and better resources
will be found along the way. The worst thing you can do is wait! If you
don't take chances and go for what you want., you will be left to pick
from what is left after others are done choosing. Over caution is just
as bad as under-caution. Both extremes are detrimental to achieving
your goals. Life itself is filled with the element of chance and risk. If you
find yourself waiting for the perfect time to start going after your
desires - whether it is going back to school, improving your home life,
or starting a business - this is for you. Whatever your goal or dream is, you already have
all that you need to make a decision and take action! The
question here is, are you willing to make the decision needed to propel
