Change Is Hard... Or is it?
100% of my clients come to counseling because they are either feeling something they don't want to feel, or they're doing something they don't want to do (or aren't doing something they want to do). Do any of these sound like you?
- Racing thoughts, heart beating out or your chest, insomnia, extreme anxiety
- Low motivation, sleeping too much, lack of interest in social activities you once liked
- Fighting with spouse, yelling at kids, frustrated with your boss
- Low self-esteem, low self-confidence, tendency to shy away from social situations
- Worried, fearful, angry, agitated, frustrated, resentful, guilty, shameful, depressed, enraged
- Always in pain, unable to focus, wishing you were someone else
The list could go on and on. If you've been suffering with any of the things listed above, CBT - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - should be part of your treatment regime!
The Purpose of this Group
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) offers simple success strategies to help you FEEL different and BEHAVE differently. No matter what you've been diagnosed with or suffer from,
the strategies you'll learn in this group will be a very important part of changing your life for the better. Here's what you'll learn:
- The connection between thoughts, emotions and actions (the "TEA" Process)
- How the TEA Process of others affects actions
- Two types of actions
- Two Types of thought patterns
- How our brain processes information during the course of a day
- The one think you'll have to change in order to feel and behave differently
- Why change takes time and effort, but isn't necessarily hard
- Steps you can take to start feeling happy, healthy and balanced in your daily life
Why You Should Attend
This group will be like any other you've had, I'm sure! It will be "psycho-educational" in nature, which means you will learn many aspects
about change, how the brain works, how you develop emotions, and what keeps you doing the things you don't want to do. Then, we will work on your particular
issue, if you want (never required!), so you can put the principles and lessons to work!
